Ken Simone Biosketch

Kenneth G. Simone, DO, FHM, founder and president of Hospitalist and Practice Solutions, is a board certified physician and Fellow of Hospital Medicine. He has built and restructured multiple medical practices and hospitalist programs throughout his career. As one of the top hospitalist management consultants in the nation his services are in high demand.

Dr. Simone has served in many professional and leadership roles throughout his career which have provided him with the expertise necessary to solve complex problems associated with hospitalist programs. His experiences as a private practice referring physician, hospitalist, medical staff president, and hospitalist administrative director (for ten years) make him uniquely qualified to assist clients in developing solutions to their hospitalist problems.

Dr. Simone has worked extensively with private and hospital employed hospitalist programs, medical staffs, hospital administrators, and integrated healthcare delivery networks. He has developed a reputation as an outstanding problem solver and consensus builder, bringing together individuals with diverse and often conflicting interests.

In addition to his work as a practice management consultant, Dr. Simone serves as vice president of the largest primary care group practice in the greater Bangor area (Sunbury Medical Associates) and maintains a very successful private medical practice. He has authored four hospitalist books and has given numerous lectures throughout the country.
