Successful organizations have clearly defined short and long term goals. This is particularly true of hospitalist programs due to the nature of the services provided and extensive customer base. Hospitalist practices must meet the needs of their patients, referral base (PCP, specialist, ED), and sponsoring hospital. Many times the vision and objectives of these parties are not aligned. HPS will provide your program with tools and tactics that foster collaboration and collegiality and support common vision among all stakeholders.

Whether your program is new or established, independent or hospital owned, HPS will work with your group and key stakeholders to develop short and long term strategic plan/goals. As part of this process we can facilitate strategic planning retreats. HPS can present customized strategies that allow for practice expansion and support the long-term viability of the practice. We can also provide tactics that reinforce collaboration and teamwork among all stakeholders. These strategies will enable the sponsoring hospital and hospitalist practice to support each other.

6 and 12 month follow up site review and analysis

HPS highly recommends a 6 and 12 month return visit to assess your progress and provide additional strategies to successfully implement the strategic plan can. In some instances a remote review may be appropriate. HPS can work with your program to implement the strategic initiatives.
