HPS is frequently asked to evaluate an existing hospitalist program and provide recommendations regarding effective management of the practice. This typically involves assessing the program’s operational and administrative structure, policies, and procedures. In addition, we evaluate the hospitalist practice model, staffing, and schedule. HPS will identify solutions to optimize provider performance and productivity, impact practice efficiency and cost effectiveness, and support the practice’s long-term financial stability.

We will provide recommendations which address both organizational and operational infrastructure as well as optimize practice operations. We will establish a chain of command for accountability. HPS will also provide tools to enhance your program’s financial and clinical performance. Depending upon the unique needs of your program, HPS will provide recommendations for improved chart documentation, coding and charge capture, and appropriate staffing levels.

6 and 12 month follow up site review and analysis

HPS can also provide a 6 and 12-month site review and analysis to maintain focus on and momentum of the recommended initiatives. A follow-up site visit is highly recommended. In some instances a remote review may be appropriate.
