HPS Provides an In-Depth Feasibility Evaluation for New Hospitalist Program Development.

HPS can provide an in-depth feasibility evaluation for new hospitalist program development. During the evaluation we will provide an analysis of both the medical community and medical staff, identifying the forces driving the creation of a hospitalist program as well as the potential barriers affecting program development. We will also assess existing resources and systems within the sponsoring hospital (and medical community) that will support program success and those that may undermine the development and performance of a new program. HPS will provide an estimate of the start-up program volume, workload, staffing, and costs, and present various options for program ownership, organization, and governance.

Throughout the evaluation HPS will work closely with hospital administration and/or physician groups when applicable. We will identify key stakeholders affected by a hospitalist program and assess their support for a new program. During the process we will identify and define stakeholder needs as well as their expectations regarding a hospitalist program. HPS will consensus build with and educate all key stakeholders regarding both the benefits and potential pitfalls of creating a hospitalist program
